Our grants benefit health and wellness programs throughout Rhode Island; examples include: Children’s Friend, Thundermist Health, Newport Mental Health, St. Elizabeth’s Homes, Meals on Wheels, Comprehensive Community Action Program, and Sojourner House to name a few.
Grants are awarded to Rhode Island 501(c)3 organizations focusing on health and wellness for RI residents. We encourage agencies to collaborate with other nonprofits in meeting their goals; we prefer not to fund salary and benefits as budget relief. We look for broad geographic representation as well as total number of clients served. Chartercare Foundation is responsive to immediate health care needs such as Covid 19. While funds are limited, we would like to hear from you if your agency has a critical, time sensitive need. Contact us via phone or email to discuss. To date, the Foundation has awarded close to $1 million in scholarships and grants to nonprofit RI organizations focusing on healthy living and health care issues. The Foundation is a separate 501©3 community foundation and is not affiliated with Chartercare Health Partners or its subsidiaries. |
