Our Mission
The Chartercare Foundation’s mission is to serve as a community resource for accessible, affordable and responsive health care and related services – including disease prevention, medical education, scholarships, clinics and related activities – to benefit the greater Rhode Island community.
|
Our Community
We have provided funds for non-English speaking populations, with limited access to healthcare; oral health opportunities for the disadvantaged and the homeless, mental health services for children and teens, and nutrition education and safety programs for seniors, among other services.
Grants are awarded to Rhode Island 501(c)3 organizations focusing on health and wellness for RI residents. We encourage agencies to collaborate with other nonprofits in meeting their goals; we prefer not to fund salary and benefits as budget relief. We look for broad geographic representation as well as total number of clients served. |
